Jon Boylan is a primarily self-taught artist working from his home in New Jersey. His occupational background is in art direction and graphic design in the field of book publishing. Working mainly in acrylics and multimedia, his work is a mixture of stlyes, from modernist color patterns to works inspired by American folk art. Jon's artistic voice is largely influenced by Post Modernism and Abstract Impressionism. He lists his greatest artistic influences as Yves Klein, Robert Rauschenberg and Henri Matisse.
